Short & Long Term Disability
This plan will be paid in full by VSD LLC for all full time employees effective the first day of the month, after completing their thirty day probationary period.
Short-term disability (STD) coverage helps you maintain a weekly income if you are sick or injured and can’t work for a short time. The plan replaces 60% of your weekly base salary, for the first 180 days of an illness or injury. In other words, if your annual salary is approximately $46,000 and you need to go on Short Term Disability, VSD LLC will pay you approximately $500 per week, at no cost to you.
Long Term Disability (LTD) coverage is 60% of monthly earnings to a maximum benefit of $6,000 per month. Your payment may be reduced by deductible sources of income and disability earnings. Some disabilities may not be covered or may have limited coverage under this plan. In other words, if your annual salary is approximately $46,000 and you need to go on Long Term Disability, VSD LLC will pay you approximately $2300 per month, at no cost to you.
